We yearn to do them, until we can't

Once you can convince human beings that they're incapable of putting their thoughts and feelings on paper, convincing them they're incapable of filling out a union card is that much easier. Once you can convince human beings that they cannot express themselves, it's that much easier to convince them that they cannot govern themselves.

After a bit of wavering confidence these past few weeks, this pointed talk by designer Mike Monteiro felt like a direly needed injection into my psyche.

Am I still capable of achieving things? Recently I've had to face that question a bit more directly.
